Graphic Design is the visual communication of ideas, meanings, and concepts. In this course, we will dive into the vocabulary of graphic design and understand how to affectively use it to translate our ideas into comprehensive, tangible visual objects. This course will cover basics of typography, layouts, mark making, color, and grids, and set you up for working with image and text.

CSPD 318: Adobe Illustrator In Depth $675.00

Course Description

This advanced course is for the designer/illustrator who wants to take their Illustrator skills to the next level. All assignments are real-world projects that will help the student stretch their use of this versatile program. If you have a particular project, you would like to do; this class will accommodate and encourage personal direction. Projects will allow the student to create art for animation, hand lettering, videos, stills, mapping, and artwork for apps, the web, and more. The class is designed with modules; you will have options to choose from, ranging from perspective work to charts and graphs to creating highly stylized artwork with an in-depth look at color and how it is used in this program and the various uses across many mediums.

CSPD 360: Intermediate Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign $675.00

Course Description

An intermediate course for artists, designers and photographers who want to learn more about working with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students will build their skills with weekly projects that include image correction & manipulation, creating graphics & illustrations, and designing page layouts for print and digital distribution. Digital file formats and best practices will also be covered. This course will be taught online using Zoom & Canvas and Adobe Creative Suite access is included for the duration of the course. Prerequisite: Intro to Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign or equivalent experience. Instructor: Randy Morgan, owner of Studio IX, has worked with interactive design, print media and digital imaging since 1992. He is also an exhibiting artist, working with traditional and digital media. His works can be found in private collections throughout North America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia.
