This studio course will develop your skills in spatial design. Through sketching and drawing, students will become familiar with the basic principles used when designing a space, and understand how color choices, furniture and accessories can be used to create a desired environment.

Course Description

Sessions are offered for those who want to draw or paint from the live nude figure. Each section includes two models—one for quick poses for sketching and one for sustained drawing or painting. A class coordinator will ensure the quality of each session. No formal instruction is offered and there are no prerequisites. Open to undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, and open studies students

NCFB 222: Thrifting and Repurposing $170.00

Course Description

What do you need to know about materials of the past, that would allow you to repurpose something unique? In this course participants will venture to local Baltimore thrift shops to discuss what thrifting is and why the is skill pertinent to today. From well renowned business owner and stylist, Erica Bentley of Keepers Vintage, you will gain the skill of basic hemming, stitching, replacing buttons. By the end of this course you will have the confidence in being able to go into a thrift store and use the techniques you learned to make one of a kind design whether it be remaking clothing or small decor for your home.
