Course Description

Location: St. Paul's. Grades 9-12: The mark of a great artist can be found in their ability to explore, sustain, and deepen an original idea through a body of work. In this class, artists will work through a reflective process that focuses on developing a rich central idea that can be explored into a variety of specific inquiries from one piece to the next. Artists gain strategies for unifying their series as well as offering something new with each work, while pairing visual, verbal, and written expression.

NCSP 308: Exploring Printmaking (Grades 9-12) $335.00

Course Description

Location: St. Paul's School. Grades 9-12: In this course, students explore the potential of printmaking media, processes and techniques for creating visual compositions. Works by traditional and contemporary printmakers that include relief, intaglio and mono-printing techniques are studied and provide guidance and inspiration for students’ prints. Single prints and editions of prints are produced and prepared for presentation in class exhibitions and for students’ portfolios.
